Coach Trip to Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton on Thursday 2nd July 2026
All-day Coach Trip to 2 important mediaeval houses in Warwickshire. Both properties are National Trust with attractive gardens and parkland and both have restaurants/cafeterias. NT members free admittance to the houses. Non-NT members group booking rate approximately £10 per house.
Itinerary
- Depart 8.00 am from opposite the Farm Pool in Hay Street
- 50 approximately arrive Packwood House, allowing time for loos, coffee etc
- 30 timed entrance to tour of Packwood House (Depending on final numbers this may involve two timed entrances.)
- Members who have already seen the house may wish to walk to nearby (0.7 km) St Giles church which has outstanding mediaeval “Doom Paintings” from the 14thC
- Remainder of time at Packwood House exploring the garden and grounds before
- 00 lunch in the cafeteria. (I have spoken to the Catering Staff and they are unable to offer us a pre-booked meal or even a choice of menus. I asked about vegetarian options and they were extremely vague and said that one was usually available, but this was dictated by Head Office.)
- 30 Depart for Baddesley Clinton.
- 45 arrive Baddesley Clinton
- 00 Timed Entry to house (again may require 2 timed entrances)
- 30 Coach departs. Approximate arrival time in Marshfield 18.30
